Our mission is to use the game of softball to teach young women how to be successful at home, in the classroom, in the community and in life after softball.
Our extensive coaching staff consists of a wide variety of coaching skills and many years of experience. Our team consists of 4 coaches, each with their own amazing strengths to create the team we have today. JD Stinson, Ken Kenobbie, Steve Montoya and Jack Yarak. Each coach has many years experience and a great knowledge of the game of softball.
JD has been coaching with Foothill for 26 years, and has helped over 100 players receive a college scholarship as our liaison since 2012. To date, JD has over 400 college contacts and 100% of our seniors have received an offer to play at the collegiate level. Over the last 18 years he has built the Foothill Gold Softball Organization from 1 team in 2012, to 10 teams in 2022 and our teams range from 10U to 18G. JD's mission is to use the game of softball to teach young women how to be successful at home, in the classroom, in the community and in life after softball.
JD Stinson and Ken Kenobbie have been coaching together for over 10 years. Currently, Ken is also the assistant coach for American River College and spent 9 years coaching at Casa High School. Ken offers weekly lessons for hitting and defense training. Ken's contact information and bio can be found under the "Private Lessons" tab on our website.

Steve Montoya has been coaching within Foothill Girls Softball for 11 years. He has been a head coach within Gold for the past seven years before merging in with our 18s program in fall of 2021. Steve is one of the original employees at MaxPreps.com and has been covering high school sports for over 15 years. He also has been a varsity coach at Ponderosa High School for the past four years. Steve currently is Foothill Gold's Vice President with a focus on the digital side of recruiting.
